Things have not turned out as anticipated despite all the preparation, publicity

enthusiasm surrounding the fledgling EV maker Lucid and its Air vehicles.

Due to the Air's competitive statistics, stylish design, and favorable press, it was anticipated

But, no. There were only 1,400 EVs supplied by Lucid in the first quarter of 2023.

Lucid revealed intentions to produce between 10,000 and 14,000 Air cars in 2023 towards the end of 2022.

It achieves almost half of the company's lowest year-end objective at that rate.

Earlier this year, Peter Rawlinson, the CEO of Lucid, mentioned a "demand shortfall."

The original outcome was the automaker's staff being reduced by approximately 20%

Preorders for Lucid have drastically decreased as prospective customers have cut their losses

most likely, switched to one of the numerous other new EVs that are recently being released every month.

In Q1, output has decreased rather than increased. Lucid accomplished about 2,000 deliveries at that time.

There was also a net loss of around $500 million during same quarter in 2022.
